Mehregan Festival 2025,
After two months of dedicated effort, the Mehregan Festival was successfully held on Saturday and Sunday, October 4th and 5th, in Richmond Hill — and it truly turned out to be one of our best events yet!
This year, an incredible number of people came together to make this festival as wonderful as our community deserves. Below is a summary of our amazing team and supporters:

Booth Coordination:
Simin Mirzaei, Mozhgan Yaghoubian, Pooneh Pourhabibi, Paymaneh Nikbakhsh, and I worked together to fill the hall with vendors. Many participants even introduced new exhibitors to us. The response this year was so enthusiastic that all tables were booked in no time!
Performances:
We were thrilled to have Yusif Savalan (orchestra singer), Galavigh and her Kurdish dance group, Sherry Etezadi (Dilan Dance Group), Kaveh Pirouzan (Latin Dance), and the Daf Ensemble, all delivering outstanding performances that brought great energy to Mehregan.
Decorations & Media:
•The beautiful Mehregan table was designed by Pooneh Pourhabibi, Director of Iran Art Gallery .
•Arash Kharabi handled video production, ad design, poster and certificate creation, name tags, social media promotions, and invitations for officials — as well as installing and removing event signage on the same night.
•I managed all Instagram promotions, vendor advertisements, purchases, and event scheduling.
•Niloofar Janmian designed and prepared the street signs.
Setup & Cleanup Team:
The evening before the event, Reza Sheibani, Arash Ghorrati, Simin Mirzaei, Hossein, Roya Habibi & Ali, Mozhgan Yaghoubian, Farnaz Tavakoli, Maryam Hashemi, Niloofar Janmian, Arash kharabi, and I worked together to prepare the hall.
After the festival, Arash Ghorrati, Arash Kharabi, Fardad Kazemi, Yari, Sohrab, and Hossein collected all tables, while Simin Mirzaei, Mozhgan Yaghoubian, Shirin Adhami, and I took care of final cleanup and handover.
Photography & Filming:
Eila Elhamian volunteered as our festival photographer.
Arash Ghorrati, Fardad Kazemi, and Arash Kharabi managed video recording throughout the event.
Charity Booth:
Neda Jahangiri delivered Selora Lazargani’s donated items for school fundraising, and Selora herself worked tirelessly for two days selling goods to support our school-building project (details below).
Volunteers:
Niloofar Janmian and Shokoufeh Abdollahzadeh generously volunteered during the festival.
Decorations:
Ghazal Nikpour and Helen Quach decorated the stage and Mehregan table area with beautiful balloon arrangements.

We were delighted to host Michael Parsa, Minister of Children; David West, Mayor of Richmond Hill; and Godwin Chan, Deputy Mayor of Richmond Hill, who graciously presented certificates of appreciation to our sponsors.
Financial Summary:
After covering all festival expenses — including venue, stage, performances, gifts, and related purchases — we proudly returned $3,353.55 to our school-building fund for the next project.
