The goal of the campaign was to help patients with COVID-19 who couldn’t afford to buy medicine or oxygen capsules. We were able to get help through the people who formed aid groups and found ways to help people.
In 2018, Afshin was a young man we ran a campaign for to get him a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, after a year of cancer, it comes back in the form of a lump in his thigh. He was being treated when lumps also appeared on his neck. Unfortunately, he contracted coronary artery disease at the hospital and was unable to return to chemotherapy after four months and six series of chemotherapy treatments. He has not had two of his chemotherapy treatments due to financial difficulties.
The campaign to help Afshin raised $2,810 in less than 48 hours. (51.500.000 Toman)
Shiva is a 31-year-old woman who has been suffering from colon cancer for the past two years.
A few years ago, an elderly woman who retired in Toronto went to the United States to live with her daughter, so she told the pension agency he was leaving and his salary was naturally cut. After a few years when her daughter's condition worsened, they returned to Canada just before the corona outbreak to seek treatment for their daughter here. They rented an apartment in Toronto because of its proximity to the hospital. After a while, due to the high cost of their daughter's medicine, their savings were almost exhausted and they were introduced to us by a dear friend in our city.
Lily Pourzand, my dear friend, is Community Programs Manager at Sandgate Women's Shelter. She had told us about a young girl who was living in the shelter and that she wished to have a Rollerblade for her birthday. She also needed a few books to learn French at the shelter.
Lily accepted to receive all donations and buy the gifts and books.
She sent us today all the photos and receipts.
The amount raised was $810, of which $281.85 was used to buy books, shoes and a helmet. The rest, $530, will be added to the “Aiding people safe box”..
Kamran, along with his wife and six-year old son, are among those who arrived in Canada shortly before Covid-19. The Immigration Office was closed just as they entered into immigration process for getting asylum status. They could only go on a few weeks with what they had until were finally introduced to us by Ms. Niaz Salimi. What they needed immediately was food. In this campaign, a large number of our compatriots immediately provided wide range of Food, PPE and Toys, along with several grocery gift cards (such as Walmart, etc.) and some money.
During the pandemic, family of the baby was assisted by 88 kind people.
In 40 hours, our campaign raised $ 3,890.00 from Canada and 2,000,000 Toman from Iran. The total donations amounted to 48,291,000 Toman which were sent to them by Mr. Karimi of Persica currency, free of charge.

Ms. Matin is an elderly woman who lost her husband and child.Her landlord in Karaj, Iran gave her time until Nowruz to evacuate. Although her neighbours came to her aid and attempted to negotiate with the landlord to not evacuate her on New Year’s Day, the landlord refused.
The purpose of this campaign was to build two primary schools.
The purpose of this campaign was to help the flooded areas in Sistan and Baluchestanan. we ended up assisting 120 people. In this campaign, which was in addition to the savings fund of the People's Aid Fund (until the beginning of 2020), a total of $10,900.00 and 3,000,000 Toman in Iran was collected totaling the amount of $117,836,750 for the assistance.
This campaign was set up to assist a family who lost their child.
Delaram was a 13-year-old girl who died of cancer two days after arriving in Canada.
Today, the campaign is set-up for aiding his family which is provided by the assistance of 40 donors. Although money may not help their mental state, we wish for them to heal over time and the funds was collected for them to start their lives from scratch as newcomers and one day, determine their own future according to their own wishes.
