Over the past month, the war has caused significant financial hardship for many families. In response, we launched a campaign to provide essential food supplies to those most affected.
Due to internet disruptions, we focused our efforts on the "Darvazeh Ghar" area, where we distributed food packages to families of workers who had lost their jobs as a result of the war. We were already familiar with this community, as we have been supporting children in this area for the past three years by providing school supplies, backpacks, food, and special holiday packages.
In this campaign, 131 individuals in Canada came together, contributing whatever they could. Together, we raised a total of $7,812.
With these funds, we were able to provide food supplies to 60 families, including 105 adults (12 of whom were seniors) and 196 children.
We also continued our support for elderly individuals in the area who have been under our care for the past three years and require adult diapers. This essential item was included in this campaign as well.
As always, Nazanin Azmoon played a key role in helping us collect donations and coordinate efforts.
